Your Post-Launch Checklist
Your community is live -- now what? This checklist walks you through the five most important steps to take after launch, from inviting your customers in to running your first exclusive.
Your Post-Launch Checklist
Congrats on launching your TYB community! This page covers the five most important things to do in your first few weeks to get your community off to a strong start. Work through these in order -- each one builds on the last.
Step 1: Invite Your Customers In
The single biggest factor in whether your community performs is whether your actual customers are in it. Before anything else, make sure you have a path from purchase to community membership.
The highest-impact move: Set up a post-purchase email flow that sends new buyers to your Brand Page Link automatically. This is the #1 driver of community growth and the foundation everything else is built on.
Quick ways to activate across channels:
- Utilize TYB’s Auto-Enroll tool
- Add your TYB join link to your post-purchase email flow
- Update your Instagram bio, link in bio tools and social
- Set up an Instagram DM autoresponder (e.g. via ManyChat) so followers who comment on your TYB posts automatically receive your join link — a low-lift way to convert social engagement into members on an ongoing basis
- Add a TYB mention to your email footer
- Post about your community on Instagram or TikTok at launch and at a regular cadence after launch
- Create custom landing page on your DTC site to drive customers to join your community

Step 2: Connect Your Email or SMS Platform
If you set up Klaviyo or Attentive during onboarding, you're already ahead — your TYB member data is flowing and you can start building flows right away. If you haven't connected yet, do this first before anything else. Setup takes about 15 minutes and the impact shows up within 24 hours.
Step 3: Run Challenges Consistently
Challenges are how your community stays active and engaged. The benchmark is 5 to 10 challenges per week with a 60% engagement rate. Brands that hit this cadence consistently see compounding returns in member retention and purchase behavior.
You don't need to start from scratch -- the Challenge Bank has ready-to-use ideas organized by goal.
Step 4: Open TYB Shop
TYB Shop lets your community browse and purchase products without leaving the app. It's one of the fastest ways to turn community engagement into direct revenue, especially when you pair it with a members-only exclusive or an early access drop.
Step 5: Plan Your First Exclusive or Early Access
Giving your TYB community first access to a launch or a members-only product is one of the most effective ways to drive growth and make membership feel worthwhile. Brands that do this consistently see spikes in both new members and sales, because customers hear about the access and join so they don't miss out next time.
Even a 15-minute early access window creates urgency. You don't need a huge drop to make it work.
Step 6: Install TYB Checkout Extension (Shopify Plus)
The TYB Checkout Extension on Shopify lets your community members see their coin balance and membership level directly from their account page on your brand's website — without opening the app. It's a subtle but powerful way to remind members that their rewards are waiting and keep TYB top of mind between purchases.
Why it matters: Members who can see their balance on your site are more likely to redeem, return, and stay engaged. It bridges the gap between your Shopify store and your TYB community in a seamless, on-brand way.
Requirements: Shopify Plus only.
Setup (5 minutes):
- In Shopify, go to Settings → Checkout and accounts → Go to Checkout Editor
- In the top center dropdown, select Profile under Information
- In the left side menu, click Add app block under Profile
- Select customer-account-widgets under TYB
- Click Save
⚠️ Only activate the widget once your community is live on TYB. Publishing it before launch will show an empty state to visitors.
